Eagles Finished (1-1) at The Show in Kingsport, TN

Kingsport, TN (WVU) – Reinhardt traveled to Kingsport Tennessee to face the Bears of West Virginia Tech (WV) and the Knights of Marian University (IND) for "The Show."
The Eagles first faced the Bears of WVU Tech with a strong start, as they outscored the Bears 26-21 in the first period. With the help of seven Bear turnovers, the Eagles shot 57% at the three-point line. Catherine Shope held down the offense with 11 points and Abi Haynes collected 4 assists.
Leading into the second quarter, the Eagles could not maintain their shooting percentage as they shot 28% from the three-point line to the Bears 40%. Throughout majority of the second period, the Eagles held the Bears down, until the last seconds where WVU tied the game 42-42. Turnovers from the Eagles, at the most pivotal moments of the game, helped the Bears shorten the Eagle lead by two points (44-42) headed into halftime.
The battle continued, after the half, as both teams played aggressive defense to only allow 13 Eagle points to the Bears 15 points to add onto the board. This would set the tone for the remainder of the game as both teams collected 17 points in the fourth quarter to head into overtime (74-74). Catherine Shope continued to hoop as she was the offensive leader the whole game, accumulating 24 points and 2 steals leading into overtime.
As the intensity of this matchup increased, with 5:00 minutes on the clock in overtime, the Eagles looked to capitalize on free points as they shot 90% at the free-throw line and created 5 Bear turnovers and 3 offensive rebounds for second opportunity shots. This led the Eagles to take the first game at "The Show" with a win under their belt against West Virginia Tech (WV) 86-79.

- Catherine Shope led the Eagle offense with 28 points and 5 steals.
- Brooke Grinstead appeared with 16 points and 4 rebounds.
- Abi Haynes added 14 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assist, 3 steals, and 2 blocks.
- Ashley Woodroffe stayed strong with 13 points and 6 rebounds.
Kingsport, TN (Marian) – With a prolonged day-one, overtime win, the Eagles opened day two with a sluggish start that would set the tone for the remainder of the game as the Knights of Marian University defeated the Eagles 67-36.
In the first period, the Eagles gained a lead of 13-10 over the Knights. However, Reinhardt could not hold this lead as Marian took off in the second period, outscoring the Eagles 21-7. Reinhardt continued to struggle throughout the game as they collected 14 turnovers and shot 33%. This helped the Knights capitalize on opportunities to beat the Eagles 67-36.
Reinhardt finished at "The Show" at Kingsport, TN (1-1) and will be back at home on Wednesday, November 1st to face Montreat Cavaliers with tip-off set for 5:30pm in the Brown Athletic Center.
