Eagles Drop First Game to Faulkner 69-55 in Thanksgiving Classic
Montgomery, AL - The Reinhardt Eagle women's traveled to Faulkner University for the Faulkner Thanksgiving Classic for a 2-game series. The Eagles matched-up against the hometown heroes, Faulkner University in a 69-55 loss. Faulkner started off hot and stretched their lead to 11 before Reinhardt started to make a comeback, knocking down a trio of three-pointers that sent them to halftime only down 32-29. The 2nd half belonged to the Faulkner Eagles as they went on a series of runs which ultimately clenched the 69-55 win. Summer Cramer made an impact for the Eagles, hitting 5 3-pointers in the contest. While this loss didn't hurt Reinhardt's conference record, it now makes the Eagles 7-3 overall and 7-0 in the AAC.
Outstanding Performers:
- Summer Cramer led the Eagle offense with a performance of 16 points. Julia Craft and Ashley Woodroffe each added 11.
- Avanna Preston and Ashley Woodroffe managed to get their hands on 6 rebounds each.
Ponce also had 2 blocks. Preston and Woodroffe also had 4 assists each on the game.
- Tarrah Gibson had 4 steals out of 9 of Reinhardt's steals.
