Eagles Lacrosse Enjoy Big Win on Senior Day

Waleska, GA - Eagles Women's Lacrosse has had a great season so far and they have put up some incredible numbers both for the team and individually. The Senior Day game with Truett McConnell would not be any different as the Eagles would have a double-digit victory once again. This game would be over early as the Eagles outscored the Bears of Truett McConnell 9-1 in the first quarter. The Eagles would go on to win the game, 24-5 and several players had some high goal totals.
Alyssa Klinger would get the first goal for the Eagles less than a minute into the game. Klinger would end up with 3 goals in the game total. Morgan McGhee would get the next goal and she would have 2 goals total in the game. McGhee would also have 8 ground balls and 8 draw controls in her final regular-season home game at Reinhardt. Jillian Mello would lead all Eagles in scoring with 5 goals. She would also have 2 assists and 3 ground balls. Macy Fulton and Anna-Marie Gazzo both had 4 goals in the game and Shelby O'Neil added 2 goals. O'Neil also had 5 ground balls and 6 draw controls. Jessie Landers would get 6 saves in goal for the Eagles on 11 shot attempts from Truett McConnell.
The Eagles would lead Truett with the score of 14 to 2 going into halftime, The third quarter would see the lead extended to 21-3. In the fourth quarter, the scoring would slow slightly - but the Eagles still get in three more goals which made the final score, 24-5.
The Eagles will be on the road for their final regular-season game at Montreat on Thursday, April 9th. This will be an important game as the Eagles try to push for the top spot in the AAC tournament. The game is at 2 pm on Saturday afternoon.
