Week 4: AAC Men's Volleyball Players of the Week

WALESKA, Ga. - Jeremy Torres of Warner is the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Volleyball Attacker of the Week, while Alex Sanchez of Reinhardt and Nefty Vigo of Life are the Defender and Setter of the Week, respectively.

The league announced the awards on Monday.

This is the fourth edition of the awards for the 2023 season. The next set of awards will be announced on March 6.

AAC Defender of the Week
Alex Sanchez - Reinhardt - Freshman - Palma de Mallorca, Spain

• Averaged 3.70 digs per set as Reinhardt went 4-0.
• Logged 13 digs in a match twice.
• Received 52 serves on the week with 0 errors.
• Also had 8 assists.
• This is his third weekly honor of the season.

AAC Attacker of the Week
Jeremy Torres - Warner - Senior - Juncos, P.R.

• Hammered home 19 kills in a 3-0 sweep of Webber.
• Averaged 6.33 kills per set and posted a .484 hitting percentage on the week.
• Had 5 digs, 2 service aces, and 1 block.
• This is his second weekly honor of the season.

AAC Setter of the Week
Nefty Vigo - Life - Freshman - San Sebastian, P.R.

• Averaged 10.40 assists per game in helping Life to a 3-1 record on the week.
• Posted 156 assists on the week.
• Logged 53 assists in a 3-2 loss at Cornerstone (Mich.).
• Had 28 digs, 4 kills, 4 service aces, and 7 blocks on the week.
• This is his first weekly honor of the season.
