Eagles Earn 3-0 Sweep In AAC Match VS Life

Waleska, GA – The Reinhardt Eagles Men's Volleyball team hosted Life University and earned a 3-0 sweep over the Running Eagles (3-0; 25-15, 25-19, 25-12). The Eagles got off to an early lead in the first set and kept it all the way through to win 25-15. The second set started out a little closer, being tied at 14-14 before the Eagles slowly inched away to clench the set 25-19. Reinhardt then took care of business in the third maintaining the lead throughout the whole set to win 25-15. Victor Pacheco led in kills with 8, while Troy Sly and Chase Cross each had 7. Bruno Dewes totaled 22 assists. Defensively, Alex Sanchez had the squad-high of 10 digs. This was a great win for the Eagles as they now have only one conference game left before the AAC Tournament. Reinhardt is currently sitting 2nd in the AAC with a 6-3 record and are 16-4 overall.

"Win or lose, all the Honor and Glory goes to God! As I go through my cancer battle, I'm so thankful to be with my team and staff! I am proud of how they have handled themselves and the position they've put themselves in this season. This program has grown so much culture wise in the last year and a half. If you look back and see where we were 4 years ago to where we are tonight where we won a big conference match that should secure 2nd place in the AAC giving the team a first-round bye at the conference tournament into the semi-finals!

It was nice tonight to see our middles play so well as that's something we have really been working on! We have a great non-conference schedule against very good NCAA programs upcoming. Our schedule is set up to help us be stronger come conference tournament so great job by our staff and how our schedule was set up."
