Waleska, GA - Reinhardt Men's Volleyball picked up their first win of the 2024 Spring Season with a 3-1 win over the Pride of Clarke University (IA). The Eagles won 25-21, 21-25, 25-19, 25-21 with the second set being their only loss in the match.
The Pride made the Eagles earn every point in this early season win. Although three of the four sets belong to the Eagles somewhat comfortably, Reinhardt had to focus at the end of each of the winnings sets when they let their narrow lead slip.
Rodolfo Biegelmeyer, Gabriel Gutierrez, and Victor Pacheco led the way for the Eagles earning 13, 12, and 11 kills respectively. Gutierrez also had 12 digs. Alex Sanchez led the way with 13 digs and Bruno Dewes added 33 assists in the game. Ricky Mujica had 13 assists backing up Dewes as team setter.
Reinhardt is now receiving votes sitting just outside the NAIA Men's Volleyball Top 15 but with more wins like this - the Eagles will find themselves among the country's elite teams.
The Eagles will be in Kentucky next weekend with a tri-match with St. Mary Woods and Brescia.
