RU Secures the 3-0 Sweep at Life Univeristy in Last AAC Regular-Season Match-Up

Marietta, GA – The Reinhardt men's volleyball team played in their last AAC regular-season match on Wednesday night at Life University. RU ultimately swept the Running Eagles 3-0 (3-0; 26-24, 32-20, 25-18). 

The Eagles are currently tied for #1 in the AAC with Webber University and are 22-1 overall and 11-1 in conference play.

Reinhardt has done a great job this season, playing a consistent and efficient game for the entirety of the match. This one was no different as Reinhardt took set one 26-24 and set two 32-20. After gaining this momentum, Reinhardt was able to gain a steady lead in the third set and maintain it all the way to match-point. 

RU's Rodolfo Biegelmeyer continues to be a huge offensive threat for the Eagles, as he recorded 16 kills and hit a .314 in this match. Gabriel Gutierrez added 10 kills (.318), while Victor Pacheco added 9 kills (.087). Pacheco also recorded 3 service aces. Bruno Dewes ran the winning offense, totaling 32 total assists. 

Defensively, Alex Sanchez controlled the back-row, recording 12 total digs, while Christian De Leon added 5 blocks. 

With only a few games left, RU will be hosting Carolina University this upcoming Friday, March 29^th, at 6pm.
