Reinhardt WBBALL Recieves First AAC Loss of Season to Milligan 85-76
Waleska, GA - The Reinhardt Eagle women's basketball team recorded their first AAC loss this season due to #3 Milligan Buffs' strong offensive, shooting over 50% from field-goal range and from the 3-point line. The Buffs started off hot in the 1st quarter, scoring 25 points to Reinhardt's 12. While Milligan's largest lead in the game was 23 points, Reinhardt clawed their way back into the contest, but it wasn't enough to clench the victory. Milligan ultimately won 85-76 over the Reinhardt Eagles. Ashley Woodroffe had an outstanding game for the Eagles, scoring 25 points. Maria Sanchez Ponce was behind her with 20. While this loss was a tough one, the Eagles should remain at the top of their conference at #1 with a 14-1 record, while Milligan is now 11-2. This will be the only time these teams will match-up versus each other this season, unless they see each other at the AAC Tournament.
Outstanding Performers:
- Ashley Woodroffe led the Eagle offense with a dominating performance of 25 points, while Maria Sanchez Ponce had 20.
- Tarrah Gibson took charge of the boards for her team with 9n rebounds. Following her was Summer Cramer with 5. Gibson also led in steals with 4, while Cramer led in assists with 4.

- Up next for Reinhardt, the Eagles will be playing this upcoming Tuesday, January 17th at Columbia College to compete against the Koalas at 5:30pm. This will be the second matchup between the Eagles and Koalas, where Reinhardt took the first game 71-53. CC is currently sitting at 10th in the AAC Conference with a record of 3-8, while the Reinhardt Eagles are in 1st, with a record of 14-1.
