RU Golf Begins Fall Season Hosting the Eagle Open
Waleska, GA - Reinhardt Golf got its fall season going by hosting the Eagle Open at Lake Arrowhead Country Club Golf Course on Monday and Tuesday this week. Teams in attendance were Lindsey Wilson, Campbellsville, Faulkner, SCAD ATL, UT Southern, Paine College, Breneau, and Reinhardt Men's and Women's Golf.
Reinhardt Women's Golf finished 2nd place overall with a +180 over three rounds. Junior Caroline Goddard led the way for the Eagles, finishing in 8th place overall. She was followed closely by Elizabeth Hamilton, who was in 10th position. Others competing for the Eagles were Isabella LoBue, Alaina Harris, Samantha Hillhouse, Abbigael Allan, and Olivia Fields.
The men's team finished in 3rd place overall competing close behind Lindsey Wilson and Campbellsville. Lindsey Wilson was the overall champion on the men's side with Campbellsville finishing in second.
Leading the way for the Eagles was Mark Hodge, who was just two over par in his three rounds. Hodge finished in 9th place overall, followed closely by Zane May, who finished in 12th place. Pride Dyer was the third Eagle, finishing in 16th place overall. Others competing were Eli Howren, Robbie McMillan, Trey Schmidt, Carsan Mari, Tyler Frazee, Alec Strictland, Nathan Sabula, and Ty Magill.
It was a good start to the 2024 fall season for the Eagles, with both teams bringing in several new golfers. Both teams are on the younger side but should gain a lot of experience as the fall season continues. Both teams will be competing at the Lindsey Wilson Classic on September 9th and 10th.
