Reinhardt vs St. Andrews Game Recap
The Eagles made quick work to book their reservations for the AAC Women's Lacrosse Championship Game. They left no doubt in this one as they would score the first twenty goals of the game. St. Andrews would not score until the final two minutes of the third quarter. This win and the early semi-final win by SCAD Savannah sets up a matchup that all have been waiting for - #1 vs #2. SCAD won the regular season missing 18-15, but the Eagles are firing on all cylinders right now and it should be a match-up of two heavyweights going it to the final minute to show who is best.
Many Eagles had big days scoring. Kelsey Sowa would lead the way with six goals and she was closely followed by Anna-Marie Gazzo and Alyssa Klinger who both had 5 goals. Morgan McGhee would have an all-around great game scoring 4 goals, 2 assists, and 7 ground balls.
It is now time to put the other games behind them and focus on the one championship game. Beating SCAD for the championship would be a big accomplishment for the Eagles and it would put them as one of the favorites going into the NAIA National Tournament. The NAIA National Tournament is May 4 - 7, 2022 in Southfield, Michigan. The bracket link can be found here: https://www.naia.org/sports/wlax/2021-22/files/2022_WLAX_Bracket.pdf
