Women's Soccer Sweeps Weekly Awards

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – Elisabeth Dunlap of Reinhardt and Lauren Akemon of Reinhardt are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Soccer Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week, the league announced on Monday.
This is the sixth edition of the awards for the 2021 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Oct. 11.
AAC Defensive Player of the Week
Elisabeth Dunlap - Senior - Woodstock, Ga.
- Anchored the Reinhardt defense which allowed only one goal in going 2-0 on the week.
- Had a hand in limiting Point to five shot attempts and St. Andrews to four.
- This is her first weekly honor of the season.
AAC Offensive Player of the Week
Lauren Akemon - Freshman - Rome, Ga.
- Had three goals and three assists on the week, helping Reinhardt to a 2-0 record.
- Netted two goals and added an assist in the 4-1 win over Point.
- Registered one goal and two assists in an 8-0 win over St. Andrews.
- This is her first weekly honor of the season.

Reinhardt heads to Tennessee tomorrow to take on Bryan at 5 p.m.
