Waleska, Georgia - The number 1 seeded Reinhardt Eagles, focused their vision on advancing to the semifinals of the Appalachian Athletic Conference Tournament with a powerful win over the 8th seeded Bryan Lions 5-0.
The scoreboard showed no action until the 25 minute mark as the Eagles made their first contact with the back of the net with a goal from Ryelyn Wells assisted by Marta Vicente-Arche. Number 10 Vicente-Arche continued to set her team up for success with another assist to Lidia Herrera to make the score 2-0 going into halftime.
Reinhardt's enthusiatic energy was too much for the Lions of Bryan College to handle as the Eagle defense only allowed 1 shot on goal saved by Caroline Johnson. Ryelyn Wells recorded her second goal of her hat trick for the match in the 58th minute assisted by Lidia Herrea. Lauren Akemon wanted a piece of the action and got her solo goal of the match in the 62nd minute of the match with an assist from Ryleyn Wells.
Wells completed her steller match with the final goal for the Eagles in the 76th minute assisted by Lauren Akemon.
The Eagles move on to the semifinal round of the AAC tournament, at the Ken White Univeristy Stadium, against the 5th seeded Skyhawks of Point University on Wednesday, November 10th with kickoff set for 7:00 PM.
