Eagles Overcome 5-Set Match over Brenau
Waleska, GA – The Reinhardt University women's volleyball team got into a tight 5-set match with Brenau University, winning 3-2. The Eagles seemed to sweep by the first two sets winning 25-23 and 25-15. The Golden Tigers of Brenau then gained momentum winning the next two but it wasn't enough to close it out. The eagles improved to 5-2 in the AAC, while the Tigers fall to 3-4 in the conference.
Quote from Coach Goodhind:
- "I would like to say how impressed I am with Coach Michael and his Brenau team. Like everyone they are dealing with injuries and different adverse things and he has their culture as one that plays together and fights. They deserve a lot of credit for the way they fought back into the match. They pushed back in sets 3 and 4 and we didn't respond well. We lowered our high errors in set 5 and I think that ultimately was the difference in us being able to pull out tonight's match. We have a lot of work to do and my hope as a coach is our players will respond with that growth mindset, that learning mindset, and get back to the grind.
We are very fortunate to come out of tonight's match with a win. As always, I want to thank God and give Him all the Praise, Honor, and Glory!"
