With its 4th-Straight 5-set Match, Eagles Beat AAC Opponents Milligan 3-2
Elizabethton, TN– The Reinhardt University women's volleyball team traveled to Milligan University to play AAC opponents, the Buffalos. The Reinhardt and Milligan teams went back-and-forth with every set, but the outcome ultimately favored the Eagles in a 5-set match (3-2; 20-25, 25-14, 22-25, 25-18, 15-13). This is the 4th straight 5-set match the eagles have played in, with 3 of 4 resulting in wins. With this win, the Eagles are sitting at 14-4 in the AAC, while Milligan ends this match 12-7 in the AAC.
Outstanding Performers:
- Katherine Perrin led the Eagle offense tonight with 14 kills (.303). While Caroline Curry led closely behind with 12 (.265).
- Maria Cordova led in assists with 22, while Samantha Cramer added 15.
- Alma Vazquez Nunez had the squad-high of 30 digs while Claudia Klein had 13 and Sarah Sweet added 12. Vazquez Nunez also added 4 service aces on the night.
- Emma Ponkova ended the match with 9 total blocks.

Although stat comparisons are close, Reinhardt managed to lead in every statistical category resulting in this 5-set victory over the Milligan Buffs.

- The Reinhardt University women's volleyball team will continue its conference play on-the-road where they will now travel to Montreat College. The Eagles will match-up against the Cavaliers the next day, on Saturday, October 29th, at 1:00pm. This will be the first match-up between these two teams this season.
