Eagles Fall to Bryan College in Tough AAC Match-Up
Waleska, GA. - In an AAC conference basketball game held at Summers Gymnasium in Dayton, TN., the Reinhardt University women's basketball team faced a challenging opponent in the Bryan College Lions, ultimately falling 82-70 despite a spirited performance.
The Eagles entered the contest with a solid season record but struggled to contain the Lions' aggressive play style. The game started with Bryan pulling ahead early, establishing a significant 16-point lead by the end of the first period. Despite a valiant effort, the Eagles trailed 50-30 at halftime.
Laphina Campbell led the Eagles with 17 points, showcasing her scoring ability in the paint. Haley Johnson and Noelle Lavery each contributed 12 points, but it was not enough to overcome Bryan's commanding lead. Iziah McCutchins offered notable support with 11 points, including key three-pointers, and tied with Campbell for the most steals on the team, each recording two.
